Let’s talk about self-care routine I need it you need it we all need it and especially in this time when the whole world is facing a new change .it’s a perfect time to start adopting the real self-care practice so you can count on to feel your best every day.

Here are a few practices I have found helpful:

Eat regularly

 Nowadays its a trend of skipping your breakfast and weeks up late.

According to science, the research said skipping meal lead to weight gain.

When you skip meals, your metabolism slows down, and you’re not burning calories as you should. Your body thinks that you’re starving so when you eat again, your body stores away more than usual, resulting in more fat! Tips to avoid skipping meals:

  • always have a snack around you like yogurt, granola bar to hold you over until next meal.
  • plan your meal in advance
  • Eat snacks high in protein and fibre. They will keep you full longer.

Eat healthily

 Yes, eating healthy food is self-care. I have been eating a lot of chocolate&cookies for the past two weeks… might feel good at the moment, but it ends up making me feel sluggish and unhealthy. Eating out junk food or stay home with pizza is ok now and then but it’s not good for your health for the long run. Try to meal plan your meals ahead of time so that you tempted to buy fried food; this will help your wallet and your overall health. Few tips for meal planning

  • keep a shopping list at all time to kitchen
  • Saturday- grocery shopping
  • Sunday-Chopping & storage

Exercise or Just Dance

I know not everyone likes running and going to the Gym or Yoga or Pilates but who doesn’t like a good dance or kicking a ball with your child is riding a bike through the park or swimming. The point I try to make is an exercise can be many different things, and it can be much more fun. According to a study, the researchers found “exercise significantly impact how we feel; it also one of the cheapest available anti-depressor.”

Take a nap

I’m a regular nap -taker. I take one almost every day. I use to feel guilty about it – like I becoming lazy or something until I found out napping benefits online. Taking a nap is like a system reboot. It relieves stress and gives you a fresh start—research Subjects who nap show greater emotional resilience, improved cognitive function, and more.

According to Dr.Sara C. Mednick, author of Take a Nap, Change Your Life,

napping can improve your creativity by relaxing your mind and allowing new associations to form in it.

Here are a few tips for napping:

  • Be consistence. One easy way to do this? Schedule it. I usually take one late afternoon.
  • Keep it short. I recommend twenty to thirty minutes tops.
  • Be discreet. Snooze in your car, an unused conference room even closet would be a perfect place to napping.

Taking care of yourself seems a fundamental part of life, yet for many of us, it is our biggest challenge.

 In our fast-paced lives, we may find it difficult to know our needs and have them met. But a practice routine can support your intention and ability to nurture your physical being.
