How to make time for self-care? As a moms, the answer to this question is so much more complicated than it seems.

How to make time for self-care when you spend most of your day making sure everyone else is taking care.

Making Yourself A Priority

There’s no doubt that self-care as a mom can seem almost impossible to achieve. Hmmm…. what can we about it I am pretty sure you know this story, but I remember you again think back to the last time you were on an aeroplane. At the beginning of the flight, the flight crew reminded you that ” in case of loss cabin pressure; an oxygen mask will dropdown. If you are travelling with children, make sure your cover is secured first before you put on your child’s costume.” Self-care is like oxygen: we don’t understand until it’s evaporating around us. Self-care for mothers can give busy moms a much-needed breath of fresh air, grounding them and allowing them to secure those around them.

Schedule Self-Care

Scheduling Self-care activities for mothers, necessary as their children’s appointments and practices.

Set a fixed schedule but be flexible. Things come up when you’re raising kids. Get comfortable rescheduling when need be. Use a planner or reminders on your phone and always follow through when you have to reschedule self-care time. Treat it like a meeting with a friend, give it that much important. Some mom self-care idea from my bucket list…..

  • Go for a brisk walk outdoor
  • Meditation with 432 Hz
  • Scheduling a monthly pedicure
  • Listen to Nature Sounds with a cup of tea

Be An Early Riser

“An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.”-Henry David Thoreau

When I’m talking about being an early riser means to wake up with enthusiastic, energetic and ready for the day as a mom of two young children, I realise it’s hard but not impossible. Because kids are wild cards at night- one lousy dream on their part and all of a sudden they’ve got you wide awake. So after lots of era and trail, I found a solution to become an early riser you need to have a good evening routine.

It helps to go to bed an hour early. Worried about something? Tossing and turning an hour more first to the foundation can lead to an extra hour of sleep. To prepare myself for bed, I usually follow three rule….

  • Rule 1#: Dinner is done by 6 pm
  • Rule 2#: After 8 pm no screen time
  • Rule 3#: Reading a book with my kids

Now let’s talk about morning self-care you know the calmness you got when everyone is sleeping, and you can enjoy your company fully recharged and ready for the day.

Bottom Line

I’ve been full of suggestion throughout this article. But the important things i can leave you with is this: do the self-care that works for you. Lots of people do find meditation frantic, stressful, and challenging. This leaves you two option: you can meditate right after exercise so its easier to focus, or don’t meditate.

Maybe you just like walking. Then do walk!

Maybe a morning cup of coffee keeps you up at day.

Maybe cultivate your childhood hobbies, singing, drawing writing journal.

I’m going to leave you with just a few for making sure you get in some self-care.

Sharing is caring!
